Construction:

The outdoor porcelain clad vacuum circuit breakers (PCVCB) are manufactured in 11 kV and
33 kV configurations. The Porcelain Clad Vacuum Circuit Breakers manufactured are of
PCESVAC - PCVCB Type. These PCVCB's are widely used in outdoor substations.
These breakers are supplied with a lattice structure made of Galvanized Iron and the
breakers are mounted on this arrangement. The breaker can be mounted on a plinth of
adequate height to meet the statutory requirement of clearances of HT live parts to ground
level. The PCVCB is of open terminal type construction with vacuum interrupter housed in
weather proof porcelain insulators. The manual / motor spring charging mechanism and
closing / tripping coils are housed inside the sheet metal enclosure that conforms to IP55
protection
